Set above Al Barari's natural reserve, The Hill begins with a quiet but consequential choice: keep the hill. The site arrived with a man-made rise that most designs would remove. Instead, the architecture stabilizes the existing terrain and builds upon it, leaving the land more or less as it was found — and gaining elevation, view, and a lighter environmental footprint in return.

The villa is shaped around the people who will live in it: clear circulation, accessible thresholds, generous communal rooms. Expansive glazing draws light deep into the interior and dissolves the line between inside and out; from every room, the reserve enters the architecture as much as the architecture frames the reserve.

The Hill is restraint working as luxury — a residence that lets the land lead, and gains its distinction from doing so.
